DO YOU HAVE USED INSTRUMENTS TO DONATE?

Save The Music doesn’t usually accept donated instruments as we have found it to be more cost-effective and beneficial to purchase new instruments for students.

We recommend that you contact your local music retailer and see if they accept used instruments. They are often closely connected to many public schools and can better direct you to those in need. Many will repair and donate to a local school in need.

Alternatively, you could contact The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation. They currently accept donations for used instruments and then donate them directly to the schools.

If, however, you have new or close to new instrument(s) and you are able to cover the cost of delivery; we may be able to put you in contact with a school willing to accept your donation depending on the time of year. If this is the case for you, you can email us with all the details and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
