Backstage Pass: Chicago
After the irresistible sets of Lollapalooza is Musically Mastered Menu, we offer a deliciously dynamic pop-up dinner. Winner of "Top Chef" and a James Beard Award, Girl and the Goat founder and executive chef Stephanie Izard will create a unique menu that combines the season’s freshest flavors with her signature culinary innovation. The dinner will take place on the rooftop of Izard’s popular restaurant, Little Goat in the West Loop. To continue the weekend’s musical motif, singer-songwriter Zella Day will delight the audience with her unique fusion of modern pop and Western Bohemian flair.
Singer/songwriter, Zella Day is known for her unique fusion of modern pop with a touch of Western Bohemian flair. Zella was born in Arizona and nestled into a log cabin with an acoustic guitar in a town surrounded by the Sitgreaves National Forest and Apache reservation. Immersed in music at a young age, her family owned the only coffee house in town that had live music. Fortunately, she was a part of a very small artist community that supported her natural skill and desire to write music. Now residing in Los Angeles, Zella Day incorporates her simplistic roots and blends them with the eclectic sounds of the West Coast.
Celebrated chef and author, Stephanie Izard is the chef-partner of Chicago restaurants Girl & the Goat and Little Goat. Chef Izard’s accolades include 2013 James Beard "Best Chef: Great Lakes," "2011 Food & Wine Best New Chef," and winner of Top Chef Season four. This summer, Stephanie will open her third restaurant, a Chinese concept called Duck Duck Goat in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood.
